Don't worry. This year is finally coming to a close.
2009 was a tough one for just about everyone. But this week
on the Ink Blog, we take a look back and discover that, while no one's feeling too sad to see it go, 2009 allowed us (forced us?) to revisit
some basic essentials in the world of marketing – things like expanding our business and social networks, paying closer
attention to strategic planning and ROI, and finding the right messages and media to connect with our customers. It also challenged us to think differently and let go of the
same-ole same-ole once and for all.
At the same time,
the social media tools available to us now – and that became more a part of the mainstream in 2009 – are opening
up new possibilities and bringing opportunities closer within reach.
The
challenges in 2010? To keep the momentum going. To keep an open mind about new ways of doing things. To lead the charge rather
than be dragged along by your customers or – worse – your competition.
